Do you like having an empty house?

Not fussed either way, love it when my parents go away as got the free run of the house, but dont mind it when they are back as there is someone to talk to then. doesnt bother me to be honest.
 
Parents are away for a while so I have the house to myself. Things I like:

Pumping some metal out of my luvly Epos speakers at this time without a care in the world. (I live in the middle of no where)
Cooking my own food, as much of it as I want, when I want.
Nakedness
and other things like leaving the bathroom door open. Why? Because I can!

Things I hate:

Tis a big house, people have stolen expensive junk from our garden before when I am home alone.
I cant do washing etc.
I have to get up stupidly early to let the chicken out of her run and lock her up at night.
 
It's great for when you want to get creative, say, when you're writing music it comes out 10x better when it's just you on your own, no noises/annoyances e.t.c.

It's also great for having absolutely no rules :cool:
 
When Janes out with her girlie mates I love it :D

I've got the whole house so what do I do? Lock myself in the smallest bedroom with my xbox and some refreshments (normally of the non-alcoholic variety because I'm the taxi service for the night) and waste away a few hourse giving my thumbs a work out :cool:
 
i like being on my own, In fact i need a certain amount of solitary time where i can think undisturbed or i get quite irritated when people interrupt my thoughts.

But after a while (about 4 days) it gets lonely. Total solitude i mean. Loneliness is the worst feeling, IMO. I can get very, very depressed when i get lonely. But, like last night, i was around loads of people and friends and i was on top of the world.

I guess i'll probably be lonely again at times now, just quit a bad job so i'll not see so many ppl

I need both solitude and company.

But when i do have solitude (rarely) in this house, an empty house.. It's great. I can.. well.. what other people said

Walk around the house naked all day drinking beer straight from the can, cooking the most alarming looking, but fantastic tasting meals - Ever had pizza with chicken burgers and beans? right nice :D - i can forumize in any room i wish to, catch up on my movies, figure out a few things, do some jobs i needed to do, and use the big tv to watch things i would not usually be able to watch upon it. In fact i can even watch 2 different things at once, by bringing another tv into the room hehe

Often do that.. like when they have "a 4x4 is born" day on the reality channels.. When i try to double up some git always comes into the room and puts QVC or gems tv or the cricket on, or that ******* alan titchmarsh. I hate alan titchmarsh i HATE HIM SO MUCH :mad:

empty house rules but not all the time. Used to love being alone in the house w/my ex.. and not just because of the obvious reason lol :D

How can you hate Alan Titchmarsh? How can you have any strong feelings towards the man in fact. He is the televisual equivalent of Budweiser - bland and inoffensive in the extreme.

He's so slimy.. If i met him i'd feel like i was covered in a thin layer of goop afterwards. And he's trying to be tony robinson, who isnt so slimy, and i do not dislike. Also he is boring. And a wimp. And he actually likes gardening!! I mean..!!!

Put succinctly, everything about him grates on my nerves. His voice, his attitude - He's everything i hate about politically correct wimpy nancies. And he's REALLY ugly. I dislike him for the very reason you cannot understand why i dislike him lol

To answer the original question: yes.

I do like having the house to myself as I don't have people telling me what to do.

I generally work more effectively also.

It is interesting because if I am asked to do things in person I am often less likely to do them (things = housework [in this case :p]), but if I have a list left for me, I will get the things done.

I like being on my own though. I just go on the Internet, and lift weights also.
