A few years ago when I was in school I was in the wrestling team, before each match I'd put on some death metal just to get me going, I mean I was just going in the ring and putting 100% rage :p :D So anyway I am going to do the same now, put some heavy stuff and go to the gym, but I was wondering, do you guys need hard stuff to get going? Or can you listen to anything?

It's like an initiative to me really, I mean that sort of music always makes me wanna punch something so I might as well get that energy out in the gym!

With or without but I prefer loud music which sadly at the gym does not occur :(
So its on with the headphones if im training on my own -
Normally the more aggressive side of music is favoured - that or 50 cent for some reason??

whenever im punching half a cow as part of my regime I listen to eye of the tiger. :p

I usually have drum and bass or something with a fast pace when I am shadowing or using a bag. When Im running I like to have something with a good beat to it, but not too fast. For everything else I will listen to anything.

Loud and fast, essentially noise! That is why Test Icicles is favoured.

I hate music that is slow when running as my head isn't busy tryna work out what the songs about so I start thinking about the running!

whatever they have at the gym, i only take my mp3 to listen to for cardio, althought if ive left it in my ears and do a quick set, ill listen away, having some machine head blasting does occasionally give me the extra power to push another rep :D

cardio stuff ill either listen to my music or have one of the tv channels on, depends on what night im in the gym!

weights, i need to get an arm holder for my ipod, that way i can carry on listening :D

I always take my mp3 player to the gym, I use it when Im running and doing cardio stuff etc, but I dont use it on the weights no.
