At the moment I have Logitech Z333 Multimedia Speakers - Black. The right speaker crackles and is lower on sound then the left speaker. I checked all audio balance in windows 10 and there equal. Just wondering if speakers are different with out a sub?. I have always had the base set to low any way on the sub as I prefer to hear voice then bass as sometimes the base and music is louder then the voice.

thanks.

Check your sound mixer levels are set. If you find bass boomy then highly likely the crossover on the subwoofer is pretty high. Not unusual for PC speakers, as the subwoofer has to cover more of the frequency range.

With a frequency range of 55hz for the subwoofer you can't expect too much low freqyency. Many floorstanders reach far lower than that.

Those speakers need a subwoofer to fill out the frequency range, plus it's likely being PC setup the subwoofer is needed as amplification, speaker crossover and control is built into the sub
