Do you pass all these calibration tests?

I think I've got my display set up pretty nice now, yet I find it incredibly difficult to get it so that it passes all these calibration tests. If I get the display set to pass test 1, then a few tests later I have to change settings to pass but which messes up the settings for earlier tests. How do you get on with these images, would be interesting to know if you pass them all or whether you just go by what looks nice to you?

Interesting site, a good way to benchmark monitors. I tend to follow my own eye when it comes to my screen though, if it looks good to me and doesn't hurt my eyes after hours of use. I'm happy!

I agree, I've gone with what looks good to me, though the tests helped a bit. I find if I get all the black squares to be visible on the black level image, then the bottom most patterns on the white saturation image disappear, and vice versa. I reckon it would take me MONTHS, if I could do it at all, to get everything the way it's intended, lol.

Indeed an interesting site, although I have just seen how bad my current screen is!

Mine did pretty well... some issues with the sharpness but I prefer these settings - and obviously some viewing angle issues being a TN and all... but the color, gamma, brightness, etc. calibration is all spot on.

Tried it on my 2nd rig, which im currently on (viewsonic 20" vx2025), seems ok. Ill try it on my benq fp241w to see how it fares. The benq tends to be extremely bright at default settings, but still a fantastic lcd, most of the 24" screens nowadays tend to be tn panel garbage, the fp241w cost me £430.00 a few years ago, its been a bargain.

Just a quickie - used to be able to access the menu on my Samsung SM226BW monitor, but now the source button only works and the other buttons just change the brightness. Has it been locked? I don't know how to unlock the OSD menu, any help appreciated.

OK, loaded the magic tune software and I can change it with that, though I'm sure I used to have an OSD!

My monitor is passable but not very good according to that site. I have to turn off my response time acceleration as it causes ghosting, and you can really tell the response time drops in the appropriate test.

That's a great calibration resource, many thanks for linking it!

I use an entry level Pantone Huey calibration device on my monitor but never knew what level of accuracy it was giving. I'm very pleased to say that all tests on this website were spot-on!
