Do you play more that one MMORPG?

sometimes i do, recently i had SWG for a month, WOW and 2 EVE accounts.

You cant really have the time, im supposed to be working on the house and helping create a new Source mod based on Duke Nukem 3d so ive quit all but the 2 eve accounts.

Still struggle to put as much time into EVE as id like but i still have fun!

I used to play Star Wars Galaxies and Anarchy Online.

Currently it's City Of Heroes/Villains and Guild Wars for me, but Guild Wars doesn't really count as an MMO and I'm not into the guild ladder scene so I don't have to be online all the time for matches.

Thinking of signing up for EVE. The trial went totally over my head though, looks like a steep learning curve.

I've got a station account with: EQ, EQ2, Vanguard, SWG, Planetside and Matrix registered to it. Although recently I've only been playing Vanguard really.

I also have an active subsription to WoW.

over the past 7-10 years i have played the following:

Diablo 2 + expansion
Lineage
Lineage 2
Eve
WoW
Guild Wars
City of hero's
Lord of the rings online beta
Silkroad
Everquest

atm, i play nout until my rig is back up next week.

which il be playing a few of them once its up n running again

Thats a painfully long list. I used to play guildwars, and I never want to play a MMO again. Theyre the ****ing devil.

Start the trial, play the tutorial all the way through and then join OCUK player corp.

http://www.oc-ps.co.uk/

They are a carebear corp, we train people up from noobs until they get confident enough. They then either move from us to STK for some PvP action (or other PvP corp) or do what ive done, stick around and train others.

Ive also got a pirate alt and a pvp alt as i have 2 accounts!

Wasnt there a mod in the works a while back that was pulled via a 3D Realms Cease and Decist?

Sorry to potentially hijack thread, had to ask!

______

OT, I played the Eve trial and it wasnt too bad, like others have said, steep learning curve but I may well sign up for afew months soon, especially with the new features...

No idea mate, we were just plannin on knocking up a remake of the duke nukem 3d game and releasing it. Keep it top secret until release so as not to cause any ripples!

i will however go and do some research into it!

I think thats what the other team were doing! I say do it anyway, but like you said, keep it secret. If 3D Realms find out, have it "leaked" onto the net ;).

I used to play WoW and EVE for a while then I got into the LotRO beta and just playing that just now. Will probably re-start EVE when the station/planet exploration goes live. Was probably the only thing about the game I wanted that I thought was missing. :)

It's mostly just me trying out various games to see if there's one that meets all my needs in a MMORPG (questing/crafting (especially player housing)/decent PvE).

I have a lot of spare time just now (i.e. no social life) so would like to get into another MMORPG thanks to the NTL/VM WoW issues just now.

aye, at one point jst under 2 years ago, i was juggling eve, wow, l2, diablo and everquest whilst maintaining a full time job and a social life, was more than one man coul d cope with, was getting stick for not being online all the time from each game clan leader.

so this is why i dont go near mmo's other than a few hours of laughter.

Aye I tried the trial and the tutorial but they went well over my head. :(

I would be willing to give it another go though, especially with an OcUK guild.

Are we just retards or something? lol. :(

Ive played anarchy online, EQ2 and now WoW.

If you are playing a mmorpg properly then you only have time for one really. :D

At this moment in time and for the past 6+ months I haven't been playing any MMORPG's.
As some people may know I've been a big fan of MMORPG's since I played UO over 28.8k dial-up to the US only servers and took part in the Beta phases.
Over the years I have played nearly every MMORPG that has been released - some for a matter of months, others for years plus.

UO kept my occupied for a long time and AO kept me going for a year.
The only game of recent times that I enjoyed was EQ2 - however even with that I've played it, left, returned, left played again and then stopped.
Quite frankly there is nothing out there any good at the moment.

All of the games are a Level fest with everyone playing the game to get to the highest level as quickly as possible.
Nobody takes the "journey" seriously, they group just to get as many XP as quickly as they can and not because getting a group together for an evening can just be generally good fun even if youj don't go to one of the five places that everyone else goes to.

I'm sure something new will come out soon that will make me as excited as those first few days on UO - well I live in hope.
