Either. The only thing that bugs me about fries is that if you leave them in the oven for 1 minute too long then they are rock hard. You usually have to put them in after other food you might be cooking.

Fries are only nice with burgers if i was having fish or curry sauce or gravy over them i'd want thicker chips.
