Do you re-purchase games on PC which you own on console?

As the title says,

I wonder if it's usual to purchase games on PC which you have already completed on a console. This got me thinking as having played Fallout 3 (and loving it!) on console a year or two ago I was considering buying it again on PC for mods and the like. Is this a usual thing to do?

I don't see the point, certain games play better on a certain platform, why buy the same game twice?

After I finally had enough of my flirtation with consoles, I repurchased Mass Effect 1 & 2. I really don't how many times I've completed them now.

I also got GTA IV as well, but that was just as brown and dull as the console version and clunkier to control. Not the best use of my money. :(

yes i do at times to name a few, Bad company 2 , gta:sa IV , L.A Noire , Virtua tennis the orange box , arkam asylum , Dead Rising 2 off the record ( if you class it as buying it again as it had 2 on ps3, lfd 1 and 2, cod4

I was guessing to use mods mainly, or if the game wasn't available on PC straight away then some people may get it on console to play it sooner.

Must just be me then, mods don't interest me much, unless it's new maps for C&C or RA games. I'm a firm believer in FPS and RTS's on the PC and everything else on consoles, thus that is how I buy my games, the only reason I would have 2 of something is if I've got MW3 on the PC and the girlfriend got it on the PS3

games can be messed up on console but better on pc, i bought f1 2010 to find out i could update it to 11 season without buying anything

If the pc version of the game is likely to have mods, then definitely yes well worth buying it as the game could look and play quite differently from the console version, not only that but it should look better to, graphics wise..
But only if you really enjoyed the console version..;).

Well I vastly enjoyed Fallout 3 on console, but thought I'd try STALKER with the complete mod on PC as it was the closest thing to it. Personally I'd much rather play Fallout 3 again on PC. Coming from being a purely console gamer to a PC gamer is quite different! Might as well pick up a few favourites then :)

Sometimes I do if it's in a Steam sale. I bought the GTA collection for a fiver I think. Bought batman AA GOTY for about £3.50.

I bought the GTA complete pack on PC, just because it was so cheap. Just hook up my PS3 controller and it's like console except better graphics.

Yeah I did this with street fighter 4 lol. Got it on PC, 360 and PS3. they are in different rooms so I don't have to walk across the damn house just to play it lol. I got them on sale btw.

I do so I can play them on my laptop when traveling if the game is cheap enough. Obviously I can't bust out the 360 or PS3 while on the train.
