..........Up until i got my 360 i would have said no......Apart from losing the rag with CS now and again but since i got my 360......Never have i got so angry at gaming.....Usually i just vent my anger but by shouting an expletive of some kind but now my 360 joypad has been taking flying lessons accross the living room.....Incredible how robust it is, well, untill today.....When at 12:03pm it set out on its longest flight yet.....After a particularly infuriating Tie Break round on Top Spin 2 my joypad made it's way from the living room through in to the hallway only to crash off my front door and finally take on damage....Left shoulder button flew out and the side is damaged.....Put back together and again and it still works! :D

Other games to push all the wrong buttons are Fifa WC Global Challenges and Over G Fighters.....

Are you an angry gamer? :o

Nah, I only play games to de-stress. If a game gets to the stage where it becomes frustrating it goes on ebay.

99% of the time for me i'm the same.....It's to have fun and relax but there just seems to be games appearing now that are infuriatingly difficult ( that or i'm getting worse :o )

I'm with you on that. Most of the time now I play games on the easiest or second easiest difficulty setting and its still a challenge :o

I am usually fine when playing computer games, Unless its Halo2. Then I get angry at just about everything and everyone. (oddly enough it is by far my favorite game). And its not just a little angry, its multiple full blown strops. You'd think I was some hormonal teenager the way I carry on in that game…

Lol yes but only by myself, i truly suck at some games and keep making the same ole mistakes. GRAW is one game that has me turning the air blue, god knows why i still have it though:p.
Over G fighters i havent played for awhile now but its another game that gets me pretty riled up.
Need for Speed i do enjoy but dammit those cops are getting more and more sneaky...already had my porsche cayman impounded. But thats another game that gets me going.
Only game that caused me to throw my controller away in digust and pure anger was Hitman Blood money especially the very last level, requiem i think. But after about 10 goes i finally figured out how to survive that level and finish it but my controller took quite a beating but still works perfectly fine:p

Personally I think it's pathetic to get angry at a computer game. It's just a game, for fun, and it means nothing at all.

IMO games that do not make you a frustrated or angry are not particularly good games. The reason in my thinking behind this is that if you are not getting frustrated then there is obviously, no challenge, You get frustrated and angry as a reaction to the fact that you know its possible to do something and yet after multiple failures you have still not achieved the goal set.

I do get frustrated by a lot of the games I get. But I only get gamer rage from halo (usually it starts about 2 seconds after I put the disk in tbh).

However the feeling of satisfaction after passing the sections of the game and then completing the game surpass the negative feelings throughout the game.

Games I have not gotten angry at have been completed easily and I have not had any satisfaction from doing so.

Halo2 As stated, the game that winds me up more than any game known to man or beast. Was played every night for a year and a half and I have played the single player through about a dozen times. And infact I have restarted the game again this week. Yet it makes me mad, why do I play it still. Because I still get the satisfaction of overcoming the areas that truly **** me off.

No, I relish a challenge and that's why I pretty much only play competitive multiplayer games.

I enjoy very hard games and never get frustrated at them. I just can't bring myself to get angry at something as insignificant as sitting in front of a glowing rectangle pressing a few buttons.

Edit: Halo 2 single player was easy even on legendary compared to online. Maybe I just don't find the games that challenging.

Its good fun, you should try it...

I got extremely frustrated with the Global Challenges in FIFA, and Wolverines missions in Xmen were so ridiculous that I didn't bother completing what should have been a fairly simple game.

Only times I get angry of late is when playing Burnout and the top players magically disconnect when they are losing. Automatically turns them into a loser in my mind.

Arrgh you've reminded me of x-men, Wolverine's missions were so bloody hard !

Strangely I only get ticked off if the A.I beats me.

My brother get's p*ssed at PES 5 online, and he always blames the game :P
I on the other hand have launched the controller several times whilst playing Fight Night 3. It is especially infuriating when the person you are fighting:

Continually runs away and throws the odd jab, thus winning on points
Ducks in the middle of the ring and blocks left + right, hitting you when you get parried

After finishing Burnout: Revenge I recognised the early danger with the Fifa: Global Challenges....

I foresaw a scene of blood and destruction, a house smouldering in ruins, bloody carcasses on spikes, crows circuling above and me sat naked in the centre clutching a 360 controller gibbering incorent ramblings about scoring 4 goals....

... so I quickly sold it.

The only game that tested my patience was Gran Turismo 3. I completed it 100%, it took me 3 years but i did it! The Toyota Yaris races were the worst... like driving a massive lead weight. The Complex String time trial was truly an achievement

nope never get mad enough to start beating on an inanimate object, you ll only end up hurting yourself or your wallet. When I am annoyed at a game I usually just stop playing it for a bit ;)

I have only ever once in my adult life (well from the age of 14+) ever got to the stage of throwing a controler. I put it down and walked away.

I usually trash talk the computer enemyies, rant a bit, swear a lot, accuse the game of cheating and hacking. (sometimes I am right in these accusations One of the unreal tournament games certianly used wallhacks and aimbots. ;))

But I never get physically agressive in a game. Just verbally.
