Do you shake hands at work?

I work in a lab with loads of other people, it would be difficult to shake everyone's hands. Also, I work with 4 people who I were friends with before I started the job so it's a lot more informal than that :)

Shaking hands would feel wierd to me. A morning and see you tomorrow is enough for me. TBH it would annoy me anyway as so many people have limp wrists when they shake hands anyway. Ffs if they don't want to shake your hand they should not offer.

I don't get to work and shake hands with everyone, just shake hands with people as I come across them throughout the day, everyone at work does it...and I work in a warehouse...last place you'd really expect it tbh.

I used to work for a marketing company (read: door to door sales) where we'd shake hands in the morning, and run around in the evening rining a bell to celebrate a good day's work.

Needless to say, I went AWOL after two weeks.

I hate corporate Americanisms!

Just wondering if any of you shake hands with everyone at work?

We shake hands every morning and shake hands with everyone when we leave. It felt weird at first but it makes everyone at work feel like friends and family. Let's be honest these are the people we spend more time with than our real family!

lol

anyway so do you shake hands or not?

Just had an unplesant thought - You and your work colleagues aren't proctologists are you?....

I spend more time with people at work than I do with my own family.. but we don't shake hands lol

In any given week I can spend upto 48 hours in the same room with them.

Lucky you don't work for a French company, you'd be kissing each other as well.

What if these two worked with you though?

When I meet someone for the first time I'll shake their hand usually but other than that I wouldn't ordinarily shake hands with anyone at work unless there was some obvious reason for congratulations.
