When I meet someone for the first time I'll shake their hand usually but other than that I wouldn't ordinarily shake hands with anyone at work unless there was some obvious reason for congratulations.
Just watch out for the polish who are built like steroid guzzlers who insist on the hand slap, thumb grap man shake...guy at work almost took my arm off the other day, I kid you not his upper arm is the size of my thigh and my legs are quiet muscly from climbing.
Just wondering if any of you shake hands with everyone at work?
We shake hands every morning and shake hands with everyone when we leave. It felt weird at first but it makes everyone at work feel like friends and family. Let's be honest these are the people we spend more time with than our real family!
Not normally - But when I go to the Paris office, or when a French colleague visits the UK office, it's handshakes all round. In my opinion it's a French thing not a British thing.
