I was away with a group of friends at the weekend, aged between early thirties and late sixties and noticed that each morning, every single one of them would take various items of medication.

That got me thinking.

Not including stuff like multi-vitamins, do you take anything which could be classed as medicine on a regular daily basis? I'm not including items which are time limited, such as antibiotics for an infection. I'm talking of things like statins, water tablets, aspirin, anti-depressants, that sort of thing. Note that I'm not asking exactly what you take (although you can share if you like).

I don't and was surprised that everyone else in the group did.

No. But I'm probably thinking I should take vitamin/oil supplements.

I think if you attached an age brackets to the poll, you would find some very interesting results but probably some not so honest answers.

I don't take meds daily but it definitely seems that people are taking more now more than ever. They prescribe stuff for good reasons and sometimes they prescribe stuff for whatever reason you wish. Met a bird at the bar the other night that didnt stop yapping about depression medication and were comparing all these low dosage do-next-to-nothing pills with half the other girls there. They were all (6 of them-ish?) quite young 20-35?

Antihistamines since secondary school, pollen type changed about 7 years ago from grass to tree and only affects me in the UK. Was hell during exam season but now it's managed. Wouldn't really say it's time limited as it's every summer, but only for a couple of months.

I've been on daily medication since I entered my twenties. :( I've probably taken at least 30 different kinds of medication off and on in the last 15 years.

Currents:
Imatinib
Domperidone, Quinine Sulphate, Cetirizine (for Imatinib side effects)
