do you think i have a faulty card?

this is my system, im running xp home with all the updates and nothign is overclocked

since i replaced my old 7800gtx with the Leadtek 8800gtb i have been having problems with oblivion, it just seems to randomly freeze and the only way to exit is by ctrl,alt & delete
i tried the game with and without patches & mods, i also tried the new beta drivers and the drivers on the leadtek site but nothing seems to help

when the game crashes the graphics seem to get corrupted shortly after, i managed to get a screenshot of how it looks after a crash by running it in a window

the thing that im confused about is how i can run unreal tournament 3 perfectly without any problems but this game crashes each time i play

my temps are around 54c when it happens so i dont think its a heat problem

What drivers you using?

right now im using ForceWare 169.21 but i tried 169.28 beta & it did the same thing i also tried the 11.1 drivers from the Leadtek site

the game runs perfectly but then it seems to suddenly crash, its never in a specific place or during a load screen

Might the RAM be too slow?, i doubt it tho.

do you mean graphics RAM? i doubt its system RAM because it wasnt crashing on my old card

actually i was ill try it again without it enabled and let you know if it fixed it

well i just tried with no aa and it still crashes

its happening with titan quest too so it looks like its going to have to go back, does anyone know the procedure to rma something? i have never had to do this before

i just solved the problem, i used ntune and underclocked the card from 680 to 600 & now its not crashing anymore ill have to give ocuk a call tomorrow about sending it back
