Do you think TDU is the closest we will get to Forza/GT style gaming?

TDU despite a few flaws was a pretty cool game with nice cars a huge island with not bad gfx for the most part and could be arcade to near sim styles of play.

TDU 2 is coming out soon so im hoping that is good too but with more cars.

Do you think TDU could in time reach up to the likes of GT and Forza with sporting nice gfx, hundreds of cars from every day cars to sports cars and be either given a choice as well with being really arcade or really sim styled like them 2 games are.

Be great if it does catch up imo we pc group could do with a rival for them 2 game franchises.

I enjoyed TDU, allthough it had a few points I'd like to see bettered in TDU2.

Better/more realistic driving feel
Better steering wheel support
Maybe GTA style walking around so you can get out of the car to buy houses etc

So if they wanted to then they can atleast try, but it may stand a better chance if it brought something else to the table to go with what it already has.
It's already quite a good concept of being able to drive supercars on the road for a change.
lots of games are track based, do we need/want another one? :)

I am playing GT5 at the moment and it'd not a great game. In parts its good, in others its poor. I think part of GT5's problem is its a PS3 game and a lot of its flaws are due to hardware limitations. In others its just poor design. I think if GT5's developers had developed it for PC, then maybw it would be the best driving game ever.

30 cars in shift 2, its a racer not a driving game so nah shift 2 will be just a boring racing game with tracks no open roads on country side and crap car list. Defo bored of them types of car games. I know forza and gt5 are racing games but they have a lot of cars and would be better if it had open tracks not just racing in em. Still.

dont seem to know what you want and its 130 cars and 100 tracks...

TDU2 is a heap of crap

Pretty sure he said 30 but even then i think tdu 2 will have a good amount (hope about double of tdu1 which was around 50 i think) plus not just racing cars for tracks.

Lots of cars, not tracks focused, normal every day cars not just racing cars and kinda nice driving experience i guess. The console games are nice i guess for amount of cars but that's about it. Hopefully tdu2 will be a success and do more tdu games and build up the car collection to a decent amount like from forza or gt and when if it does it will be the best car sim game cos its got no tracks just normal roads to drive on, bliss. lol :)

I loved TDU 1, apart from it's dodgy online play. I've applied for the TDU2 beta.

Hopefully the roads aren't made out of squares this time :D

k, still its tracks game and probs just fast cars and stuff which theres loads of them games. I reckon Grid is good for that type of gameplay. But an overall driving experiance i.e not just tracks, normal road cars, etc with hundreads of cars would be nice. Can be done, TDU is a step in the right direction. Of course tracks is nice but not just tracks is kinda what im meaning.

It's odd that all of the games I've played recently it's been Prototype that's given me the greatest sensation of speed rather than any of the driving games.
