I have met a girl while working away from home, she is fantastic, my ideal girl. beautiful, kind, caring, great personality. I cant stop thinking about her, I havent felt this way about a girl for such a long time. we have soo much in common.

I am seriously thinking of renting a flat in her town so i can be with her, but She works soo hard and does such long hours. she starts at 4am and works until 10am then her second part of the shift starts at 6pm and she then works until 10pm
The rota she works means that she works this 6 days a week, the one day she gets off changes every week.
I currently live 100miles away which means that i will never get to see her, so I am thinking of moving closer to where she lives, but i am still only going to see here for an hour tops in the evening as she need to be asleep by 11pm so she can get up for work in the morning.

I am a consultant which means i can be sent off to work 200 miles away for the day or week so will be getting home latish also.

Do you think we could make a relationship work ? or is there too little time together to form a real relationship ?
we have both been single for over 4 years. her job has left her no time for a realsocial life. as she needs to work soo many hours to help pay her parents rent and help pay for things for her brother that she couldnt have.

btw i'm 27 and she is 21

You clearly have doubts already.

Why wouldn't it work?

Do YOU want it to work?

People have relationships with people the other side of the planet.

Don't put up barriers straight away, it's early days. Enjoy it, and take each day as it comes.

good luck amigo! :)

Tis true though.. strange hours.... Not entirely sure, with regards to Health n Safety and EU WTD if you CAN do those kind of hours? Been a long time since i've done any HR stuff though.

Without getting all spiritual on yo [bottom] you can only try. If it works, it works.

Other chef's have partners, so why can't she? Just don't ask her to cook you dinner, then send it back complaing that the meat was over done, the vegetables were soggy, and the fork was dirty!

A mate of mine works in London and has a flat there 5 days a week. He comes home at the weekends to his missus and spends 2 days with her. It's not a long term arrangement, but it works for now.

Think about the people in the armed services sent away for months on end, the shift workers (like myself) who have to do nights on rotation.

Go for it. You can text, phone, email, video call, write, send flowers, leave little notes for her.

Hope it all goes alright for ya :)

if you dont try you'll always wonder.. espeially if you feel that strongly for her.

question is youre ready to make such a big move but does she actually feel the same way?
