This is an odd question.
Ive wanted to give this game a try ever since ps4 days BUT i've always been somewhat put off by some of the things i've heard about it (the sword fighting mechanics).
Do you think you'd get a good 'feel' for it in two hours of game play? I wouldnt want to pay £40 (steam) and then find it's not for me. I've heard the game is very story intense and the 'intro' is an hour or two long and only then can you really try the game out.

thanks for any help <3

EDIT: I know i could watch gameplay videos but I never find that shows you how it 'feels' to play a game,, and i didn't want any spoilers lol

I've played multiplayer FPS forever. Tried several single player games and always gave up after a few hours. Played GoT last year and kept playing until I completed all the main quests, first time ever for me.

There are a lot of cut scenes, but the characters are interesting which draws you in to the story. You feel good when you fight off the bandits and save a village.

It didn't take too long to get used to the controls. You pick gain new skills slowly which gives you enough time to master each.

Yeah, you can get a good feel within an hour or two in it as that would be the intro sequence and a bit on the main game world. Realistically, if you don't like the intro's mechanics, combat, movement, etc., then you won't like the main game either.

The game got a free pass because it was set in Japan. It didn't do anything new or spectacular.
Oh and gave OLED users something to harp on about.

UPDATE:

I ended up buying it and still playing it after 10 hours lol Seems good! Not sure why ppl were making out the fighting mechanics were harder than Sekiro?!?!

Installed this tonight, I'm liking it a lot. The combat is nice and the visuals are great.
