Do you use Google when you can't remember things?

intersting the number of users who rely on Wikki when a large percentage of the information on there is not correct. It's not vetted afterall.

All the time, not sure if that's because i have a lot of conversations with odd obscure facts relating to them...or just i'm getting old and can't remember **** anymore :(

Normally would do my best to remember but if all else fails google. Particularly for spellings or sayings if it doesn't look or read right.

Generally, yes I do.

I was having this discussion with my partner the other day. We came to the conclusion that all of those "tip of my tongue" memory moments and not remembering anything will be obsolete for our children and future generations.

With smart phones and access to the internet 24/7 there will not be many facts that a person can't draw out from google. I already do it extensively.

The one thing this will do, imo, is render the future generations almost useless without the internet. I think there will be a bigger dependency from them to require the internet for basic information that they should either know or have remembered.

I do prefer to try and think but I give up very quickly when the net is within fingertip reach ;)

It's gotten to the point that if i don't have the internet at my disposal for any reason then i feel lost. Google is my default move.
