Which server do you use? I had a jabber.org account a long time ago that I can no longer access and I decided to make a new one. Turns out jabber.org's registration page has been closed, and for a while now it seems. So are there any good alternatives? There's a severe lack of servers based in the UK (just three on the IM observatory) and only one of those with the security grade I would call acceptable. There is also a distinct lack of decent domains (is-a-furry.org.... I don't think so). But the ultimate question is, how long do these things hang about? Jabber.org has been there since the start (1999). There's quite a few that are well established, but fail because of the security or domain name.

I've run ejabberd on a VPS before. I prefer the less hassle route of letting someone else deal with all that.
