So many attacks going on in and around the world, surely it is only a matter of time before someone does some type of attack in London?

It does play on my mind a fair bit does anyone else feel the same?:confused::(

sad times not even safe in our own homes .:(

No, also terrorists/nut jobs don't usually pick on residential areas so you're perfectly fine unless it's just your average burglar you're worried about.

No. It's easy to let your perception of risk be clouded by media coverage. There are countless unpleasant things that are far, far more likely to happen to you, you just aren't reminded of them so frequently.

nope, happily wonder around tourist spots, soho, gay village Manchester etc.

I worry some stupid idiot in a honda jazz will pull out of me on my bike and ill die on my way to these places though.

I don't think London is the only vulnerable place in the UK, there are plenty of soft targets all over the country. If you worry about it the terrorist are winning.

We've had hundreds of attacks in London - so it's not anything new. Have you been worrying about it all your life? In the times of the IRA, and more recently but over the past several decades there have been dozens upon dozens of terrorist attacks in London.

If you go walk around London (bleurgh :( ) life is the same. People go about their day to day activities. There is a carefree attitude and people still board the tube, and work in skyscrapers.

If it happens it happens. Locking yourself up at home isn't going to achieve anything.

That said I'm glad I only work in London and live in the countryside - not because of fear of terrorism, just because London is not pleasant!

Call me sinical but I think its not a matter of If but when sadly. It is one of the things I would like to be wrong on

No.

And we are safe in our own homes. If you believe otherwise the terrorists have won.

And here I thought the terrorists had sectarian and geopolitical motives. Little did I realise their true motive was to stop me visiting Ikea.

A major attack in the UK is inevitable. The chances of our being a victim of that attack is tiny though so it's not worth modifying your lifestyle too much in that respect. Just be alert, especially when in crowds.

Worried no, concerned that life will be lost, yes but that is only natural. We won't let them win by changing the way we behave/live so life goes on as normal.

German bombs couldn't stop us, nor the IRA and neither will the ISIS scum!

TBH even if you were worried the worst thing you could is to break your usual routine because then they've won.

IMO the best way to beat this is to carry on with your life, treat individual immigrants as the humans they are and as you would want them to treat you, and question politically the rights and wrongs of the issues without fear of judgement for expressing your views but with an open mind to listen to reason in places where you may be wrong.
