Do your parents ever get drunk?

Don't think I've ever seen my dad drunk - he's the sort of person who will have 2 - 3 pints over the course of the evening (6 - 11ish) which of course goes with food, no apparent effect.

My mum is a different story....seen her quite drunk when we were on holiday in Italy (package tour thing) and this one couple just complained the entire evening that the food was 'funny'. 2 bottles of wine later and she was sick as a dog the next day :p

Nowadays though 1 glass of wine turns her into the angry drunk and even the littlest amount of teasing/poking fun and she becomes hugely aggressive and storms off! Dad & I have occasionally used this to our benefit :p

I have seen Mum drunk a couple of times, but generally she has more sense! As for my father, they don't make enough drink worldwide to get Pop drunk. It's one of those laws of nature that just doesn't seem to apply to him - other people get drunk, he doesn't, end of.

Wish I'd inherited that ability rather than male pattern baldness and a fear of heights....:p

my dad used to drink but hes out the picture now so couldnt care less what he does.

mum never drinks, ive not seen her have alcohol in years. im the biggest drinker in my house hold but even so i have the 1-2 bottles of jacques or koppaberg every other month

I don't remember ever seeing either of my parents drunk ... although my Dad always moans that he thinks about having a drink around 7pm and then forgets about actually getting one until he goes to bed 4 hours later.

Most weekends they have a drink, though they never get smashed as they sit down to watch a film and promptly fall asleep. It's far more fun when they go out to be social, my dad turns into a prankster and constantly pests everyone and finds it hilarious, my mum tries to keep a sense of dignity and authority but flat out fails and usually falls asleep.

My parents regularly enjoy a glass of wine, or my dad beer. They are quite sociable people, mid 60s and have lots of friends that come over or they go out for meals etc. They probably have a better social life than me at the moment since my dad retired!

I have memories of my dad and a 2 litre bottle of Tesco lager or bitter.. so i guess he was drunk.

Mum, if she even looks at a bottle of babycham she gets tipsy so I imagine she is wasted constantly.

My mother does not drink at all and does not really like it so avoid drinking in front of her, although I don't drink much anyway.

Father drinks on family occasions and what not and just laughs for the entire time. Walking down the street at 2am with your old man laughing like a little girl the whole time is a little embarrassing :D

My dad moved away when i was a child, so i have no idea, i left home 8 years ago to get away from mother who was upset that my dad left.

Havent seem them since.
