After buying my parents a PS3 earlier in the year they have not stopped using it, my dad loves to play FPS (he's asked for MW2 for christmas!) at the moment he plays IL2, BF1943 and Uncharted 2. My mum loves to play the Puzzle games and spends most her time on Bejeweled 2!

So are you parents gamers and what do they play?

Edit: Add some ages.

Dad: 59
Mum: 52

Nope. I downloaded the IL2 demo on the PS3 a while back though, and Dad had a go at it as he flies...he wasn't too impressed by the physics though!

My dad is 64, he has only ever played three modern games (All PC strategy games):

Total Annihilation
Age of Empires 2
Red Alert 2

The later he played constantly, he usually had a match a day but hes stopped now :p

I always ask him for a match on Red Alert 2 but he wont play me XD He defeats the AI every time but hes naff at the game really, he just likes to build up a huge base with lots of defence.

Im a Parent and I game ... does that count :) ?, my dad who is 70 plays MS flight simulator but when he was over at our house last week I could tell he just wasnt interested when I was showing him some Forza III :)

My Dad loved to try to play flight sims (especially 1st world war ones) and dabbled with games like Return to Wolfenstein but he was terrible :p He loved watching me play games though, especially Call of Duty 2 on Veteran :D

My Mum throughout me growing up would play games like Bubble Bobble and Columns with me, as well as Tetris by herself.

Since my Dad died last year, my Mum's played a lot more games. She was obsessed with Dragon Quest 8 for a long time and has now completed it twice having done pretty much everything possible in the game. She's also got her own DS and 360 too and has started playing Lost Odyssey :D Loves Lego Indiana Jones and Civilization Revolutions too.
She's got a neck disability which affects her right arm so she's a bit limited in what she can play, fast reactions are a no-no, but she's still very willing to play anything possible. She loved watching me play through Uncharted 2 recently too.

Bought her a Dragon Quest game for the DS last month for her birthday and just bought her Civilization 4 for Christmas. Was going to get her Lego Indy 2 but got it for review and we were both disappointed by it so quite glad I didn't pay for it now :p

Oh and age wise, Dad was 63 and Mum's 54 now.

Neither of my parents do, but my father's ex's 65 year old step father (:o) was asking me when Half Life 2: Episode 2 was coming out as he loved Episode 1. :D

My mum used to play mario/sonic etc..a few years ago but doesn't bother anymore. My step dad has a xbox 360 and plays bad company on live nearly everday, he loves any army FPS.

Mum - 51
Step Dad - 48ish...

Dad is only 40 - I got him into MOHAA on the pc online and he loved it. Since then he plays all the CoD's online, before going on to consoles from COD4 onwards.

Now has a PS3 for call of duty/uncharted/typical FPS and has been addicted to Rome:TW on PC for what feels like a lifetime.

Dad plays Halo, hes pretty good online but only on a mounted machine gun :p
Trying to get him to understand call of duty now!
