hey all,

A mate purchased an £850 titan exodus with 6950 in the past week from OcUK based almost solely on my recommendation.

The system arrived last week and he got round to setting it up tonight. All that needed to be done was to install the gfx card, simple.

It boots, gets into windows, screen garbles after a few minutes and then goes off completely.

He doesnt want the hassle of troubleshooting, or faffing, he just wanted a machine that would work.

Needless to say, i feel like a bit of a **** right about now.

Can someone assure me that this sort of thing is fixed very quickly at absolutely no hassle to the customer? That's about the only thing that will stop me feeling so bad right about now!

Just make use of the Service Package.

Service Package
- Full 12 Month collect and return warranty
- Each specification is assembled from handpicked components for compatibility and stability
- Telephone, web note and forum technical support

OcUK will collect, fix and return.

Do you have another graphics card to test with first?

It may be the graphics card and not the system.

No. But as i say, he doesnt want to spend time trying to make something work anyways, or waste time troubleshooting. He just wants it to work and for £850, i dont think that's too much to ask in all honesty.

I just don't understand how this could have happened, it's overclocked so surely the whole system is stability tested for a while. A borked gpu is pretty easy to spot!

Could also possibly be psu related. rather than mess on with replacement GFX cards etc, it needs collecting imo.

As long as he's connected both 6pin power connectors in, theres not much more to test.

he fitted the card + both 6 pin. exhibited fault.

he took the card out, reseated it, reconnected 2x6pin. exhibited fault.

removed gfx card, put it back in its box. Boxed the too tower awaiting collection.

I had no advice to offer, it should just work....
