i bought the game today and loading i couldn't get past the 'Press start' menu being a brand new xbox i thought the controller was dud so i tried another same problem...

turns out the PAL rate has to be set at 60 not 50

So this is for every copy of DOA4 :eek:

I understood it that is was only the imported copies of the game that had to be chnaged to PAL 60.

Oh well at least my TV supports it.

this is true yes. Not sure though if it's all IMPORT copies, or all normal copies. Guessing it's all copies.

import copy :| i was not told i had an imported copy...yet i am getin it prior to release? this guy always gets me games before there out i managed to knock around 40 quid off the whole package with game an extra pad and memory card worked out about...

Yeah the UK copies have a little warning card in the box about that.

doesnt affect people using VGA cables afaik cos we dont get PAL 50 or 60 options

ALSO, dont boot ure console with it in there, it will boot the game quicker than ure profile, hence deleting ure save game. Happened to me after a 2 hour session and annoyed me a treat!
