DOC is useful, I can't see why anyone would think it was not.

Not strictly true, some Insurers who specialise in Premium products include a fully comp DOC, but unless you first car is worth £50k plus, your point is correct.

Should have said that they quoted me on 530i at the same time (same price), as well as a 740i. I'm in Ireland too, so they should be pretty much throwing insurance at you.
