I recently came by the good fortune of getting this -

ASUS Zenbook Pro 14 Duo UX8402ZE

for free actually. My cousin rage quit on it as a mobile soltuion for video editing, no idea why as the specs are pretty decent. Long story he basically chucked it in a drawer were it has sat since the start of the year. I went out with him for some beers and he just flipantly said he had a brick of a laptop and he cba putting on ebay so I could have it for free. I was like ok and when I fired it up I was like, mate this works fine, he said the duo screen was giving him high blood pressure !!!

So anyway, fast forward, I have got it sat on my desk now and I am going to use it as for DAW moving forward, however I need a docking station that will work with it so I can just use all my current desktop peripherals but don't want to keep on plugging / unplugging everythign each time I want to take it with me.

I had a look on here and saw the icybox one, but the lack of Thunderbolt on seems a bit odd

I have spenmt hours using my limited googlefu skills and still no wiser.

basically needs thunderbolt 4 to dock the laptop and at least 3 additional USB ports an additional thunderbolt for the Audio Interface would be good too and obviously HDMI to connect to 2nd screen. Can I just use any decently branded 3rd party dock that has all of that and it iwll work or is there some additional black magic voodoo that I should be aware of ?

If you get TB4 it should include PD for charging so... It's pretty much a standard. Certainly it's got better than some stuff you used to see.

Helpful tip: DisplayPort can be passively split out to HDMI so unless you have HFR or ultrawide needs, you can go with DisplayPort outputs.
