Hi all

Is it even possible to have a docking station that will work across my PC and a laptop?

I have my keyboard and mouse connected to my PC and would want to avoid having to switch multiple cables everytime I need to work from the laptop. So a one plug solution would be great

I use one of these for this exact purpose, shares my mouse and keyboard across PC/laptop

UGREEN USB 3.0 Switch, 2 in 4 Out Put USB 3.0 Sharing Switch Box for Mouse,Keyboard,Scanner, Printer with 2 pcs of 1.5m USB 3.0 A to A Cable

A quick search should find it for you

I have my laptop USB in plugged into a Thunderbolt 3 dock which I then plug into my laptop and it works fine. The other USB in is plugged directly into the back of my PC.

There are some USB devices that don't seem to work on the KVM thing, for example the wireless dongle for my headphones does not want to work. I've had no problem with various keyboards and mice both wired and wireless and since that was my main reason for getting it so I'm pretty happy.
