If you've ever been to the road races in North / South Ireland, he was the medic ploughing on behind the pack during races with all the equipment onboard to be first response. Unfortunately, he's the one who needed responding to this time.

A real fixture of the races here. And the work he and his team did in relation to motorcycle accidents... who knows how many riders are alive today here, down South and even on the IOM because of the work they were doing.

One of the biggest causes he backed was to get us an air ambulance here in Northern Ireland. I can't even remember if we had one and it was grounded, or we've just never had one. I'm pretty sure the air ambulance has to come from the mainland and I do know that the woman that was hit by the bike at the NW200 earlier this year had to be airlifted by helicopter sent by the Irish coast guard. They've been calling for a dedicated air ambulance here for years. Especially considering how many road races take place throughout the year North and South. People raised over 700k quid for one. And there's been nothing from Stormont year after year. Too busy arguing over ****ing flags and parades.

Was just watching a medical video of his, he was a good speaker, sad to see his life cut short. Clearly a very driven and passionate man both in his career and motorcycling.

This is a good watch. No video but it has his slideshow he was presenting.

Great presentation. Shows just how important he (was) and his team are to the road racing community. Hundreds of bikers turned out for the procession up from Dublin and lap of honour round the Tandragee circuit the other day too, despite the weather being cack.

Massive loss to the sport, the people he served at home and the greater medical field globally. Knew him well from the racing back home and still shell shocked about it.

RIP John
