I'm surprised I didn't find out about this earlier, but it's the follow up to The Shining which can't be a bad thing!

Comes out on the 24th, anyone looking forwards to it?

I'm currently reading through The Shining so I can get this and start reading immediately! :D

It's been about thirty years since I last read 'The Shining'. I'll definitely have to read it again before reading 'Doctor Sleep'.
If the sequel is even half way as good as the original it will be well worth a read.

If its as good as the last one 11-22-63 it should be good. Seems he's writting decent stuff again after the dross of the last 10-15 years.

Mine was despatched from the Rainforest yesterday - I also ordered myself a copy of The Shining as well so I can re-read that before getting into the sequel.
As good as the film was - I need to get that out of my head and the actual book into my head before I can safely start on Doctor Sleep.

Really enjoyed 11-22-63 - and the ending was really quite sad, but oh so well written - had me with a tear in the eye.

I was shocked King actually made a book with a good ending. I am going to re-read it at some point it was desperately sad at the end.

I keep hearing he has bad endings for all his books :(

I've only read Salem's Lot so far but the ending wasn't that bad. Seemed a bit abrupt if anything, but not bad. I don't know what to expect from all the books of his I have now!
