It's not the BBC it's every news outlet that brings up skin colour or sexual orientation usually. I'm sure RTD has picked the actors because he feels they are very good and fit the roles perfectly. Not just to fulfill some woke nonsense that people have made up as fact for every person of colour that gets and acting role these days.

If the product is good you can wear your politics on your sleeve. If all you've got is an agenda then you're stuffed.

People are angry with DrWho because the writing has been going down the pan for years and all the makers have left is often crudely handled political points to make.

Start Trek, TOS and TNG and Quamtum Leap all had stories about important political messges but the product was good. The message wasn't the whole offering. The shows combined the quality story telling with a reflection of our World.

And people need to get off on calling people bigots because they're annoyed about transparent political pandering when the show they have loved has turned to crap.
