Hi we have a lot of team documents created that must be checked and commented on before finally approving. Now we are currently using Outlook approve / reject with track changes and comments added to the central document. This isn't very elegant and seems far too manual imo. Can anyone suggest anything that will help up with these workflows, i'm thinking sharepoint foundation might help but doesn't look like it has everything we need.

SharePoint foundation is what you need, for those in the know the base foundation product is pretty much the full thing with a few parts of the UI removed. There is little to nothing I can think of that I couldn't do in foundation that the full product can do.

In my previous job I spent the best part of 10 years developing SharePoint foundation and the above would be achievable in foundation with little to no modifications.
