I need your help!
I've been asked at work to find a 'ready made' piece of software for keeping track of document changes in our 'Change Request' system.
We basically need some software that an operative or their manager in the warehouse/workshop or development can raise a numbered 'Change Request' to change a Controlled Document (spec sheet, work instruction etc) or a Manufactuing Drawing (amend and up issue the drawing), and changes to other types of company documentation.
It's essential for the software connected to our email system (think it's MS exchange based), to fire off emails to the relevant people for initial approval (with marked up attachments etc), then an email to the proper person to make the amendments (myself for drawings or the admin dept for word/excel stuff etc..) and then another mail for subsequent approval once the amendments have been done, then finally another email to tell the relevant departments the documents/drawings have been changed, with attachments or links to .pdf's etc.
I've searched google.. but my google-fu has let me down!!
We've looked at getting our IT Developer write one for us, but they're snowed under with doing a similar thing for our Non-Conformance system.
Your help would be gratefully received.
