I was watching PBS America and Dan Snow roaming Mexico presenting a documentary about Montezuma. Clever as they are, do you think presenters like him, Lucy Worsley and other popular historians and academics presenting art documentaries, science, archaeology, etc that we see regularly on the BBC just reel this stuff off from memory from their university studies?
Or do you think the tv producer tasks them with something they might not necessarily know too much about and they have to go and learn about the subject matter before it's recorded?
