Just had a few games of DOD S as it was free for the weekend, being a noob it was a massacare :) was just like the film saving private ryan when they hit the beach. All the seasoned players shot me to bits and I never even seen them coming.

Just have to practise more I guess :) right pass those grenades.

if you go on clan servers or servers with good admins, they add custom maps to the servers. anyone looking for these servers, visit the thread DaveyD made above and look for the servers in there.
what sort of bugs have you experienced?

i'm still enjoying it, but i have had a few games where there is absolutley no team work what so ever, where the entire team fell apart as soon as the confronted by 2 enemys, its horrible, its embarrasing, i'm no angel myself, but damn at least i try to play as a team, and considering its only my second day of playing i'd say i have improved quite considerably.

but then again do you get others where teams cooperate, listen to commands and crys for help, its good though when you get one of these servers, i was up until 4 am playing with such a sqaud, one of the most enjoyable online gaming experiences i've had in ages.

it seems map dependant as well, ones like flash dont require much team work, as long as there is enough covering fire you can just fight your own way to the flags, its very helpful and more enjoyable with team work but not required, but maps such as argentan and the one where you start on the beach are a lot more team orientated.

well i'm back off to shout profanities at the screen again, better get as much from this free trial as i can, if only i had a mic headset, i would be giving people a serious peice of my mind, fortunatly i dont or i would have been banned a long time ago.

anyway, good game, slightly frustrating, but good gameplay if you find the right server/team mates.

happy shooting.

Bug wise I got stuck on objects on occasion, and the last server I played on had real bad lag. Smooth gameplay but I was getting shot when I was out of sight.

I have to ask, why on earth does it insist someone kills you by lettting the enemy massacre you at match end??

i suppose its just a fun way of letting the winning team take advantage and 'celebrate', the kills dont count as far as i know so it doesnt really matter.
it kind of reminds me of the thing you see with footie, when the scoring side is running around with smiles doing backflips whilst the side which let in the goal are consolidating themselves, hehe.

That bit is kind of fun, especially if you run upto them shouting "Drop your weapons!" and then a couple of seconds later if they haven't... *stab stab stab*

'Tis disabled on some servers though. :(

i thought the kills did count

I believe the kills do count at the end/ "bonus" round, however, the whole thing is a server side variable.

On my clan server, we have it switched on still, but on a few other servers I frequent, like CoJ, BGF and MikesMarauders, its turned off.

Whats really funny sometimes, is seeing enemy players coming out of spawn, the round is won and then you watch them trying to get back in over the sandbags again to try for some protection. :D

It reminds me of the slaughter of POW's tbh

I'm buying it, I found it refreshing not to hear "counter terrorists win every 2mins" :p

Though I must admit I've had HL2 since it came out and can't get into CS:S at all :(
