My printer is a HP deskjet 950 and takes HP tri-colour ink cartridges (Magenta, Cyan and Yellow) as well as a black cartridge.
The old colour cartridge was about empty so I've just binned it and put a new cartridge in.
For some reason it seems as if the new cartridge has a green-ish coloured ink in the yellow chamber instead of the expected yellow ink. I've printed no end of test pages thinking maybe the ink had just mixed a bit on the head, but there is still green ink coming out when there should be yellow.
What a bloody pain.
Anyone else ever had this? I bought this spare cartridges 6 months ago as I'm at Uni often printing reports etc so having a spare is always handy. Because of this I can't remember where I got it from, and definately don't have the receipt.
Is it likely a complaint to HP would be worthwhile?
edit: Just filled in a form on the HP Website, let's see if they get back to me. In an ideal world I'd like a replacement cartridge direct from HP, I am quite happy to send the faulty one back if they pay the postage.
