I bought an OCUK value (aka hanns-g) 19" (HW191D) monitor last February.

It has developed a problem; it has become very bright, and the menus are locked (it says "OSD locked" when I try to get onto the menus) so I cannot adjust the settings. I have tried holding down the menu button to unlock the menus, to no avail.

Is there a way in which I can fix this problem?

Cheers guys.

On my monitor to unlock/lock the OSD you have to turn it off, then before turning it on hold "MENU" for 10seconds whilst pressing the on button once.

webnote/phonecall to ocuk could be a fault and you wouldnt want to miss out on the warranty

Indeed, this occurred to me, so I posted in the CS forum, I will drop them a webnote tomorrow if I can't resolve it on my own from advice here.

So press the button whilst turning it on? I tried this, and many combinations thereof, to no avail.

To elaborate once the monitor is off:

Hold down MENU 'before' turning on and once pressed on keep holding the MENU - not the powe switch for about 10s.

This works for me but I'm not if it will work for hansg - mine is Fujitsu-Siemens

If not try longer I just googled and someone suggested 45seconds so?
