Hello, I'm having trouble with my Razer DoamondBack mouse.
It randomly freezes and the lights go off(on the mouse) then come back on about 2 seconds later, it works fine aftert that until it does it again.
I thought it might be the driver so I updated the driver but that didnt solve it, I then tried changing the usb port it was plugged into but that didnt work either. Anyone know what could be the problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Its losing power, I had a copperhead that did that.

it ended up being a broken wire in the usb lead at the mouse end.

keep the mouse static and wiggle the usb lead, see if you can influence it to switch off.

haha, thats exactly what it is :D cheers

is it possible to get a new one, or will it be easier just to take it apart and resolder the wires?

no problem buddy,

If urs was like mine the damn break in the wire was where the wire moulded into the stress release rubber thingy so I couldn’t diy it, had to rma the thing.

well since rma would take so much money to send it back n forth i just cut the cable opened up the mouse and resoldered the wires on, works fine now, there is one screw that holds the bottom on and 2 clips at the top incase anyone wants to know :D

I had exactly the same problem with my Razor mouse a few years back.

I wonder if Razor use cheap cables or something as this has never happend to me with any other brand of mouse.

I've not bought a Razor since because of this.
