Dodgy PSU?

My Dads PC started behaving funny recently, so i've tried rebuilding it for him (format/reinstall windows), problem is it's doing the same thing

Keyboard stops working, randomly reboots itself and sometimes starts itself up without pushing the power button.

My theory, dodgy power supply?

could be that or the motherboard, so a fault switch on the case

Grrr I hate problems like this they generally mean making an educated guess which can also mean spending money on the wrong things

I would agree it could either be the M/Board or PSU. Have you got any spares to test it with? Maybe try another PSU in it to test?

Yeah I was going to give this a go, just a big fat hassle as it means taking the PSU out of my PC and putting it in my dads to test. Ah well c'est la vie
