Dodgy Speeds?

Hi guys,

I'm wirelessly connected to a BT home hub which is in the next room to me.

According to the bt home hub web page, I should have a connection of:

Downstream 7,360 Kbps
Upstream 448 Kbps

but after running some speed tests at two sites, they say I'm getting more like:

download: 176 kb/s
up: 364 kb/s

Does that sound right? :confused:

I'd try another router. Using the Home Hug normally halves my connection speed.

I've just been reading/posted in the speedtest thread mate.

Looks like it's not just me then.

Is it the same with a cable? You really need to eliminate the wireless connection before you can go any further.
