Dodgy Traders

Fair enough v0n but if you are prepared to search the rewards are very good. As for the 'major surgery' - this was as the result of a recognised issue which is not mileage dependant. PMKeates has the same issue, albeit more developed, on his 330i with half the mileage of my 530i.

Think my problem is solved, my sister is going to have it so I cancelled the adverts.

As for your comment v0n I accept it is more desirable to have a lower mileage car. But I have factured the mileage into the price. The problem is dimwits expect to get the car below the high mileage price, but expect the car to have less than average miles.

Old cars are what they are, I believe condiion is everything and mileage not greatly important. It is all about condition and how well it has been kept. My rant is people think they are going to buy a car that will last them 3 years plus, as well as being able to get at least half their money back on a resale. All this for offers of about £500.

I used to be one of the ones that thought low mileage was best. I had a pug 306 HDI on 50k miles and got rid of it for my CTR, partly because i thought due to mileage, more complicated things would soon need changing.

But partly from reading this forum, and learning more about cars in general, my 17 year old car now has 147,000 miles, and still drives as good as my mates 52 reg Pug 307 :)
