Does a 360 load games quicker off the HD or Memory Unit?

Don't think its noticable
I had Geo Wars on a mem card before i got my HD. Both loaded stupidly fast so it doesn't really matter.

A game would load a little quicker if it was loaded directly off the HDD, but only really demos have that ability, as the rest has to be read off the DVD.

The memory unit can't store games, so therefore has no speed :p

I'm guessing mem cards are more or less standard UBS drives. I think they are actually faster than hard disks as there's no moving parts.

can the mem units be used on 360 and xbox?? was wondering if it can be used to transfer a couple of old saves

Sorry to hijack the thread lol

Ah, misread the original question and it makes more sense now.

As the typical savegame sizes are unlikely going to be >1MB, then the difference in actual reading / processing the savegames is really going to be minimal, if noticable.
