Does a overclockable Micro ATX board exsist

for Core 2 DUo ?

If so Can I have one please :D

No. You can only get slight overclocks for C2D on an mATX board.

What sort of improvement does overclocking a 6300 yield typically?

You can get a massive increase in CPU speed. 1.8GHz to 3.2GHz is achieved quite often. This won't translate to a massive 'real world' difference in speed unless you do high resolution gaming or video encoding etc.

Hang on a gawd dang minute look at this un

Board is excellent, came with the bare basics. Didn't expect much for 40 squids. Had to reset the CMOS a few times for system to start running and once it did, blew my socks off.

Tested a few E6300's in here and max stable so far is 3.4GhZ approx 7x490.

Real good buy for cheap thrills. Have 3 of these 2 as experimental boards and one as just a pure fileserver.

oooh, it seems I'm a little out of date then!

Seems too good to be true for a Via Chipset...

I've downloaded the manual and there is nothing about the BIOS. There is lots of chatter on the various forums but no-one has actually tested it. Add the fact that it requires an AGP graphics card and I cannot see this being a great board. Also - there is huge amounts of confusion over whether or not it supports dual channel RAM.

In fact - everyone is quoting the reviews on the OcUK website as justification for looking at the board at all.

Further digging on VIA's website shows the max FSB to be 350, so how can anyone be doing FSB 490? Fishier by the moment. I suspect I'm going to have to buy one anyway though - just to be certain

Solid board

Pros: A reasonably priced board that allowed me to use my older DDR400 with a Socket 775 processor and still have room for upgrades in RAM to DDR2. The board layout is good and it fired right up and runs very stably.

Cons: Not too nuts about the VIA chipset, but in fairness have had no issues with performance or drivers to date.

Other Thoughts: A great budget board with the ability to use DDR and DDR2. I did not use the on-board video, but it could allow you to save up or wait to upgrade later to a PCI-E video card. My son loves his new PC. Games work great on it (nVidia 7600T added).
