I was in a 2nd hand shop buying games and I always look at the PC hardware they sell(need a hdd) and I like to see what graphic cards they have, not that I can afford them lol and the only 2gb cards were both 270's with one being the X model and as such I check see what connectors they have if any and the 270x labelled one was a twin rozr of some kind and is up for £98, but I couldn't see any power connectors, but I look on the shelf that you can only see what outside the shop and there's a 270 twin fan gigabytes of some kind labelled one for like under £70 and that has 2 X 6 pins and made me think they got them the wrong way round, but is this the case?..

I might sell my 750 if I see a card worthy or if I get a new card for my birthday next month, but I'm not paying £98 just for an extra gig and a Radeon branded card lol

Hmm so the 270 doesn't come in a pci slot powered version then? My psu has the 6 pin and if I'm not mistake the 8 pin as well..(shop has error the or I'm blind)

Seasonic s12 ii 520w 80 plus bronze..

But I don't want to use 8 pin just 6 pin if I have to just because I don't want too power hungry of a card, just enough to push my psu a bit and I've got my eye on the msi gaming r9 370 4gb brand new, but after couple reviews and YouTube videos that might be a regrettable purchase if it's made, but then the reviews I've seen compare to the 750ti not the normal 750.

The 370 is actually a worse card than both the 270 and 270x.

The best bus powered card is the 750 ti, but that isn't much of a jump in performance over what you have.

Your psu is good quality and will be fine for pretty much any single gpu.

That last bit is what I like to hear ha, but the 2nd part is also a reason I haven't really considered the 950, 2gb or 4gb it doesn't sound like a big leap either, the 370 came across a bit more improved, but either I would like a msi gaming as I really like that style, not that I want to pay too much for it lol.

So for the sake of savings more so, a 2nd hand 270 would be better money spent that a brand new 370 despite the 270 would be 2gb version due to costs? I just don't know what to aim for that's under £150(brand new price, less than 100 for used) that won't be too limiting with my i3, I don't play gta 5 yet, but I would like to see little improvement in 'evil within' and see how better I can get BF4 and SWBF without it dipping in to the 30-45fps range on a regular(Star wars has been better that I currently is, but I get connection warnings that effect experience) not to say BF4 drops that low any more.

100 Used is 7970 / 680 money which would be a lot better than a 270 or 950.

The 370 is a 7850 rebranded whereas the 270/x are the 7870. The only improvements will be from driver updates and the card isn't strong enough to run settings that would use over 2gb of vram to a playable level.

Honestly, you can forget about The Evil Within running particularly well. It's a horrible port and even an i7/GTX 980 combo can't sustain a locked 60fps at 1080p. A 270 would get you a solid 30fps though.

Thanks for replies and I realised I mixing R7 with a none existent R9 370 lol..

Well i say a hundred used, depends what the gtx 750 will be worth as a sale or trade if it comes to that, just I have no use for anything like an 8gb 770 or a 4gb 970 and similar or amd equivalent, it will be awhile before my i3 turns in to a i5 to make better use, just want an improvement with more vram but also small in size as I'm contemplating a small cube possible style case still as I could do with space saving a bit.

Ah I did read people maybe on here and elsewhere about evil within being sketchy, but started playing chapter 2 and the frames stayed between mid 30s to mid 40s, but I didn't finish it as I was tired so don't know what the rest of the chapter will bring. I was just using it as an example of a game I play that's one of my most demanding, I do t think Wolfenstein there old blood is ever going to change from its locked 60fps and other than connection issues I'm not really having much bother with BF4 and SWBF..

I am hoping to get black ops 3 and fallout 4 to trial, on the zon BO3 is £20.
