Does an Ultrawide need more graphical power than a normal size monitor

for 2 monitors of same pixel per inch would you notice a performance drop between that and one normal size? and for that matter would you see a drop with multi monitor set ups?

Poster above is right, screen physical dimensions not a factor in performance.

3440 UW is approx. 5 million pixels
2560x1440 is approx. 3.7 million pixels
1920x1080 is approx. 2 million pixels

Takes a lot more to drive the ultrawide than the 1080P (approx 2.5 times more demanding on the GPU)

You'll only see performance impact with multi-monitor setup if you're running AMD eyefinity or Nvidia surround and using them as single higher resolution display.

Also, 2560x1080 ultrawide is only 2.7 million pixels
 
It was just a thought on something I had never seen explained really so thank you all for the replies
