Like every case if you take the sides off it will be louder..

Id say it works, the only actual fan i can hear is the top fan, which i stuck a dust filter over and its quietened it down a little.

Haven't built one using this case but used a PC based in this case for several months (editing wedding films). All I can say is that this is one of the quietest case's i've heard.

It certainly doesnt perform miracles, but it definately does a bit on my computer. Though my components are very quiet anyway.

What i really like about it is the lack of vibration from the case, with its plastic side panels (with alu inserts) and its very good quality riveted steel construction, you just dont get any vibration from it.

Thx for the info chaps

Yeah I use to have a lovely Steel Aopen Case once and it was very heavy and the steel solid/thick.... use to dampen the noise and vibrations... so am hoping the Antecs even better.
