hi there I like the look of the H70 and was wondering if they are good coolers?
I have a modest overclock of 4.5ghz which is plenty at the moment. I would change the fans on the H70 as in specs they seem quiet loud, is this true? would you say they was value for money? thankyou

I would say that the H70 is terrible value for money, and that the specifications written on consumer fans are generally works of fiction. Stick with whatever you're currently using.

You'll get better responses if you go to the effort of typing all six letters in "anyone". If you can only be bothered with 2/3 of a word, it puts people off trying to reply to your semi-incomprehensible question.

Not good value for money, but its a decent cooler. Up there with the best air coolers. My friend has one in his build and swears by it, but I wouldn't touch one with a barge pole because it's clunky as hell and really expensive for what it is.

Consider the Antec Kúhler H2O 620. It's got the same pump as the H70 and the fan is meant to be quieter than those on the H70. If I recall it has the smaller radiator of the H50 though.

i have one, stock fans arnt exactly silent, but i have a lanboy air which is basically open case and they dont bother me. Value for money? not really noctua d14 is cheaper and in reviews i saw 1-2c lower temps and i think its very quiet. But i got mine coz lanboy doesnt have normal push/pull airflow.

my stock 2600k idled as low at 16c! prime around 45c
oc to [email protected] idles around 20-25 and after 10 passes in prime my temps were 55-62-64-57

Corsair H70 is almost as powerful as top-end air coolers. The best of H70 is to NOT block one memory slot like the air coolers do. Totally worth the money for me, as I need that memory.

I have an alpenfohn matterhorn "the beast" at present and my cpu hits very late 60's when under load. eg encoding divx! maybe i should check my thermal paste to make sure its spread on every core? I had a thermalright ultra 120 on my old Q9550 clocked to 3.8ghz and it never went over 40 degrees. i only have a 4.5ghz overclock on my sandybridge setup
