as i am a new comer th pc gaming all my friends play xbox/ps3 and i was just windering if anybody plays mw2 anymore if so can the guys that do send me a f/r and lets get shooting
 
I still play it but... it is pretty badly cheated, laggy, poor matchmaking, lack of attention to perks/killstreaks (some still need fixing) and some need nerfing specific to gametypes. (I'm not one of these people who can't handle them used against me so moan how they ruin the game).

But the rare time you get in a game without cheaters, decent host, etc. it is really fun so I keep at it - I'm also good enough to beat people who aren't out and out cheating (i.e. just using wallhack or poorly setup aimbot) which helps a bit - tho it still sucks the times they do manage to kill you.
 
It has gotten a bit better recently. About a month ago I was getting aimbots in 2/3 games, and not the good kind. The kind that headshots you through 2 walls across the entire map as you spawn...

Still, as Rroff said, when you get a good game it can be very fun.
 
I still play. Seems to me the hackers are getting less and less. Maybe Valve got them? (LOL)
 
Theres less obvious full on hackers - not sure why... quite a lot of people tho I can spot that are 99% using a wallhack or low fov aimbot and the odd person still with a more agressive bot. Been quite awhile since a game where I've been headshot over and over as soon as I spawn from the other side of the map hopefully they got bored and moved on.

Probably got bored of winning all the time without actually doing anything, I'd imagine it would be one way to make games dull as anything.

I think most people went over to BC2 as soon as it came out ... And rightly so.
 
Wow people hack on MW2? :L its like the easiest game in the world to get kills and people still use aimbot ? thats a joke.

I can understand why aimbots were made for games like counterstrike cuz it takes skill to control your recoil but on MW2 recoil control is so easy.
I only play it on xbox and have only just heard how bad the amount of PC hackers there are.
That is embarrassing tbh that people cheat on such an easy game lol.

A multiplayer game isn't 'easy' or 'hard', you're fighting against other people on even grounds. Just because there's less recoil doesn't mean it's easier to win, because you will get killed more in return.

No but it is generally much more easier to kill people on MW2 than other games even if you are really bad. Why do you need an aimbot when its really hard to miss people?
 
I would say its more accessible than easier, you still stand a chance of getting some kills as a new player if you put a bit of effort in but a good player is still going to dominate. I would say it takes more skill to play MW2 to a high level as the gameplay has atleast twice as many dimensions to it as CS/CSS.

You forget that people have a hard time even getting the crosshair over a person and keeping it there in the first place.

It's not just about recoil, it's about accuracy and reaction times too.
 
I still play MW2, I tried BC2 for a while, never got on with it, I mostly play free for all on MW2, if there is a hacker I just leave and find another game.

There are hackers on all games even BC2, they are just a little more obvious on MW2. Then again I don't hack and I get accused when I am on a good day.

I still like to play on and off, only for 10 minutes or so. I'm starting to find it's finally getting to me.

I really don't understand the logic behind allowing a harrier, chopper gunner and some other air rape to be in the sky at the same time.

I've not seen many aimbots lately, more wall hacks. There's still a lot of hacked servers/host running, mainly in Team Deathmatch.

Can I add you Gib Gib? It would be good to play with someone. IGN Synthetic
