Hi all,

I was just wondering if anyone out there knows the best way to connect a console to a PC, in order to share the monitor? OCUK sell various 'TV cards' which also offer s-video / composite in, so I'm guessing that a console could supply the signal rather than a TV cable. Could it cope with the demand the console would place upon it though?

Hiya,
It'll cope with the demands of the console no probs- I'm running a N64 through a PC-TV card here, but you're going to find that the picture will be a little less clear than on a standard TV. (Mainly because most cheap PC-TV cards will only do res. up to 720x 576).

Almost all tv cards only support upto 720x576, even ones using the far superior component input only support 480p. Youd need an analogue hd card and have to connect it through hd-sdi coaxial if you wanted hd quality, expensive.

I wouldnt reccomend it anyway. From previous experience I can say one word. LAG. Only a few ps2 and xbox games support hd though.
