Does anyone else find that MSN randomly signs you out?

I find this really annoying especially when trying to cheer up a mate who's mum just died.
It just randomly signs out and tries to sign back in itself automatically!

It's been happening for a while now. Got any recommendations?

Mine did this all the time, ended up being my router, it drops the connection a little but somehow the web still worked. Any way i replaced the router and all has been fine since.

Setup a ping to say jolt.co.uk -t and just watch to see if the ping jumps when msn disconnects.

Yeah if youre using a wireless router , even slight drops in connection will disconnect MSN, used to happen with me and was so annoying till I moved my router to a better position.

Usually when it happens to me (im not on wireless) its one of two things.

1) My ISP is having issues, and its just the connection dropping and reconnecting.
2) MSN are having issues on there end, which does happen...

Not had an issue caused by the router, but yes i do agree its worse on wireless, just make sure you have a high signal strength,

my mate on tiscali gets this all the time too, like about 10 sign outs per hour!

really annoying talking to him, lol

Ahhh so it's Tiscali then! I'm on them too! I have no broadband router so it can't be that!

Oh well, I hope they die so I don't have to pay them!

I have homecall which is tiscali lines, get the same thing in peak hours!

Ah its not just me then. Tried to sign into MSN and the troubleshooter is telling me the key ports aren't ready. What, the key ports that were working last night and I've made no changes to the MSN port rule on my router key ports? :rolleyes:
