Does anyone else have this problem with album folders in W7?

With a large number of my albums (ripped myself with EAC + lame)

I get missing entries for the tag data in windows, the tags are there and display correctly in Vista and winamp etc..

It will often show the info for most of the music, but not all of it..

Never had had, but when I installed 7 I had MP go through and re-sort everything.

I just did a tag remove then remade them with Tag & Rename, fixed it.

Looks like I've got a lot of work to do!

Any chance some of those files were tagged with ID3 2.4? I don't think Windows supports it.

They were all made in one run, which is strange that only some work.

Maybe when I was testing different music players, one of them messed with the tags

I think foobar does default to ID3 2.4 actually. If you tried that one out.

I did have something similar. And, because of these differences it would show the album twice, one with 14 tracks, the other with 4 (from an 18 track album)
