Does Anyone Else Have This Problem With Trousers?

Does anyone else find all trousers uncomfortable to wear when you sit down in them, i.e. they become too tight around the crotch area, you basically get a wedgie. I think the problem for me is that the height between the top of the trousers and the crotch where the legs meet is always too short, I think this is referred to as the rise. I have looked in many High Street stores, always looking for as high a rise as possible, but cannot find comfortable trousers, they all have too short a rise. I'm 6ft and have a 36in waist, maybe this is slim for my height, but I don't see that it makes much difference. Anyway, am I alone in this problem or do others find the same? I am beginning to find it very annoying. The best shop I have found for highest rise is Next, but even their trousers are far from comfortable. If you've had this problem, what did you do about it? I'm thinking of getting some trousers tailor made or learning to make trousers, it's bothering me that much.

Thanks

I'd check out where the late Sir Patrick Moore got his capacious suits :) Is that enough "rise" for you?

Never have that problem with like suit/formal trousers or similar, I wear stretch jeans which alleviates that issue (but I also don't wear skin tight jeans which probably helps).

M&S active jeans are pretty good.

Though I've just upped to 36 as I've put on a lot of weight. I was a 34 at 90+ kgs, at 6ft. So I wouldn't say 36 is slim at all.

I bought a couple of pairs of Karrimor Panther trousers not long back on a whim, was pleasantly surprised to find out they're the most comfortable trousers I've ever worn. They have some stretch in the material so they don't get all uncomfortable when moving about or sitting down and the rise isn't too short. For the price I can't fault them.

Was also going to echo that 36 inch waist at 6 foot is bordering overweight. That might be the cause of the uncomfortableness.

Reminds me of my partner's colleague that gets ribbed incessantly because he buys all of his clothes at the garden centre :p;)
