Games like MoH AA, where your 1 man behind enemy lines dealing out damage ? Instead of every WW2 game nowadays where entire squads are duking it out, i sorta miss the solo stuff :(

Also, FPS's where you start from point A and the game ends at point B. 1 great big hike through an awesome game like Half-Life 1 and 2. None of this chopping up a game into multiple different regions which you just swap to after completing mission 1. You actually felt like you were travelling through somewhere.

And in general, games being made the way the devs want them made, and not the general public (first person ! cover system ! collect 30 items for achievement ! co-op or bust ! i have to learn something new ? screw that !).

Well i don't like war games where you take out the entire Nazi army by yourself =/ thats dire :P and it has been overdone.

Something like DOOM3 is amaizing by yourself.

and yes i do get your point of Traveling from A to B to C. Like in HL1 + 2 :)

Good games

Good points raised, especially the bit about working your way through the game, then getting swapped about. Lack of continuity does my head in after a while.

Completely agree, playing SP in Cod WaW and then suddenly I'm a Russian, then back to being a Yank, doesn't really help the immersive feeling you expect

Definitely miss the play style and general epic-ness of half-life 2, no FPS has come close for a while.

In Crysis/Warhead you're a bit of a one-man army, not sure if you've played through those. You do suffer the constant switching of location, moreso in Warhead I think. Though it's more like moving along points on a line, rather than being free to move along said line.
